Leyla Salm is a Dutch designer, living in Sweden, who is active in fine and applied arts with a little inspiration from the Art Nouveau en Art Deco era.
Leyla Salm comes from a long line of national and international renowned artists and architects from whom the most famous are father and son G.B. Salm and A. Salm.
Together they designed and build lots of famous buildings throughout Europe.
The most famous buildings in the Netherlands are the Krasnapolsky Winter-garden, the pop-temple Paradiso and huge sections of the Amsterdam zoo Artis.
Her grandfather was a gifted painter, who was a member of the Laren school (an artist group)
She herself is the most famous descendant of this family, with works sold nationally and internationally.
Inspired by the Art Deco and Art Nouveau period, but with a distinct own style.
